Saudi Arabia has asked the faithful to sight the Shawwal crescent on March 18 to determine the beginning of Eid Al Fitr 2026. The authorities have urged Muslims across the kingdom to look for the crescent moon on the evening of March 18 and report any confirmed sightings to the relevant courts or authorities. If the Shawwal crescent is sighted, Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated the following day; otherwise, Ramadan will complete 30 days before the festival begins.
